The federal department of Health and Human Services hires a new Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs, Michael Caputo, whose personal Twitter shows him repeatedly making racist and antisemitic statements, and spreading conspiracy theories about COVID-19. In addition to retweeting a post that referred to George Soros as “the real virus,” Caputo called economist David Rothschild an “inbred elitist sphincter whose family craves control,” invoking an antisemitic conspiracy about the Rothschilds.
