Conservative Union Chairmain Accuses Soros of "Destroying Western Civilization"

Matt Schlapp, Chairman of the American Conservative Union (the group that organizes the Conservative Political Action Conference known as CPAC) tweeted that “George Soros is not hated because he is Jewish it is because he is the architect of the destruction of western civilization.”

The idea that Jews are conspiring to destroy “western civilization” is classic antisemitism. Nazi propagandist Joseph Goebbels famously warned that Jews would “destroy German culture,” using this as justification for removing Jews from academic and cultural institutions.
