Tump Campaign Sends Mass Text with Antisemitic Trope

The Trump/Pence campaign sent out a mass text message from Vice President Mike Pence urging supporters to help the campaign "FIGHT BACK" against "HOLLYWOOD ELITE DONORS."

The text, which promise an eight-fold donation match, played on the pervasive antisemitic trope about Jewish control of Hollywood and media in general. This ugly trope dates back to the 1920s, and was extensively promoted by industrialist and notorious antisemite Henry Ford.

This was far from the Trump/Pence campaign’s first time using antisemitic tropes or imagery in campaign materials. Certain campaign merchandise, and digital advertisements have also incorporated antisemitic language and symbols.
