Trump Keeps Promoting "Dual Loyalty" Trope When Speaking to American Jews

Towards the end of a call with American Jewish leaders, Donald Trump referred to Israel as “your country.” Trump has repeatedly made comments and statements when speaking about and to American Jews that suggest he sees American Jews as citizens of another country, and not as Americans.

On April 6, 2019, While speaking to the Republican Jewish Committee in Las Vegas, Trump referred to the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, as “your prime minister,” promoting the antisemitic idea that American Jews are not ‘real’ Americans, but hold a primary loyalty to the State of Israel.
