Former Gov. Mike Huckabee Promotes Same Antisemitic Conspiracy Used by Tree of Life Shooter

Mike Huckabee, a right-wing pundit and the former Governor of Arkansas, tweeted an attack on HIAS, a Jewish organization that supports refugees, claiming it has ties to “radical groups.” HIAS is the same organization whose work was named and attacked by the white nationalist who murdered eleven Jews in 2018 in a Pittsburgh synagogue.

In addition to targeting and smearing HIAS, Huckabee argued that American Jews should support Donald Trump because of his alliance with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. This echoes Trump’s infamous and antisemitic “disloyal” comment, suggesting that the primary loyalty of American Jews is to the State of Israel.
