Republican Florida State Legislator Calls His Jewish Constituent a "Judenrat"

Florida State Representative Randy Fine called one of his Jewish constituents a "Judenrat" — the term for Jewish groups the Nazis manipulated to regulate and report on fellow Jews during the Holocaust — for defending an event called “Palestine/Israel, Opening the Dialogue.”

Fine, who is also Jewish, wrote to his 68-year-old constituent: “I know that Judenrat liked to keep tabs on all the Jews in order to report back to the Nazis back in that time, but no one is making you continue that tradition today.” He also used the hashtag “#JudenratDontCount” in reference to the constituent.
