Young Republicans Group Appoints White Nationalist Sympathizer to Leadership Position

On March 22, 2020, the Young Republicans National Federation announced Gavin Wax as their new Chair of the Association of Young Republican Clubs. Wax associates with the Proud Boys, a violent hate group, and has coordinated events inviting white nationalists and antisemites like Michelle Malkin and Nick Fuentes.

One event in particular that Wax co-organized featured Gavin McInness, founder of the violent hate group the Proud Boys. Following the event, thirty members of the Proud Boys violently attacked protestors. Among the attackers was Wax’s friend, Jake Freijo. The two were photographed together working the event, and Freijo was photographed later that night as he beat a protestor.
